1 // Salty Face Tanner
This impulse buy arrived hours before I left for the Founders Retreat, and I lathered myself in it from head to toe with nothing but a prayer and the promise of a streak free application. The reviews are in people - we have a new go-to tanner! I purchased the tanning water, tanning foam, and the fluffy applicator brush. So, so good!
2 // Vision Boards & Resolutions
My friend, Mehwish, invited the gals over to her West Village apartment to flip through magazines and snip out beautiful bits for our 2024 vision board (mine is pictured above). I am a big believer in visualizing the things you'd like to welcome into your life. The more you can see what you want, the easier it will be to recognize the real-time decisions that will get you there. 10/10 would recommend. And if journaling is more your thing, I invite you to work through these prompts linked here.
3 // Debaser from DS & Durga
Recently, I've been stopping into perfume stores on my walk home from the public library to rid my books of their musk. With a single spritz, you can eliminate any unwanted odors while simultaneously testing out a new scent every time you settle in to read. This month's musing is a perfume called Debaser from DS & Durga, which came highly recommended from the shop girls!
4 // On the Nightstand
Speaking of books, this month we are working our way through Where All Good Flappers Go, You're Invited (really excited about this one!), Burnout, Creative Acts for Curious People, and This Is Not A Book About Benedict Cumberbatch. No matter how I feel about the books as their contents unfold, I will at the very least love how they smell!
5 // White Cotton Pajamas
I am an absolute sucker for pajamas, and this set from Piyama has been a recent favorite. You can ask my in-laws - I practically lived in them at Hilton Head this Christmas. A few others that caught my eye were this lace trimmed set, this floral set, and this summery robe!
6 // Mornings at the Met
Yesterday we walked through the Met's latest exhibit, Women Dressing Women. It explores the creativity and artistic legacy of women fashion designers from The Met’s permanent collection. It will leave you feeling inspired (and perhaps a touch more courageous in your closet!). If you aren't able to stop by, they have a gorgeous exhibition catalogue to enjoy!
7 // Golden Coil
This planner has been a repeat purchase for going on 3 years. Customizable, elegant, and comes with a keepsake box to look back on your year's special to-dos! Sweet!
8 // The Microchop
I stumbled across the recipe for this microchop, simple salad and immediately marched myself to the corner store to scoop up the ingredients. We are on day four of enjoying this salad for lunch and still going strong!
9 // Studio days
Starting next week, I'm going to experiment with a new studio schedule. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be void of the admin work that so easily distracts and swamps and will be replaced with open-ended studio time. My hope for this year is to make room for more creativity, so let's see where this takes us! If you email me on a Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll be in touch with you on Thursday xx
10 // Being home
Last but not least, I am deeply and truly happy to simply be home. A month away was such a gift - time with Jake, time with family, time with the Founders Society. But my goodness, am I glad to be sleeping in my own bed! This feels like a good one to end on.
Until we meet again in your inbox,
